The Second Annual Edition of The Retreat Powered by MINI in collaboration with the Miami Design District, Brought Together Health and Fitness Enthusiasts for Four Days under the Miami Sun.
The Retreat powered by MINI produced over a dozen of events in Miami Beach and the Miami Design District, May 3rd-6th, with
athleisure presentations, fitness classes with top instructors, panel discussions, meditation, and more.

wellness scene in Miami with top magazine editors, influencers, fitness instructors, activations in Miami’s most sought-out venues.
Created by the founders of FUNKSHION, The Retreat brought together athleisure and wellness brands to an industry only audience of press, influencers, buyers and local enthusiasts.
The Retreat powered by MINI kicked off with Mindful Meditation presented by lululemon on Thursday, May 3rd at the Nautilus Hotel on Miami Beach, followed by the kick-off Forbidden Beach party with exclusive performances by Maty Noyes and Parson James. VIP guests of The Retreat powered by MINI dined on the rooftop of the Nautilus Hotel overlooking Miami Beach.
Fashion for Breakfast was served at the Soho Beach House on Friday, May 4th to an exclusive group of journalists, influencers and brand ambassadors discussing the art of mindfulness with Bianca Cheah of Sportluxe, Gilles Souteyrand of Body by Gilles, Nima Taherzadeh of Heroine Sport and Myk Likhov of Modern OM in conversation with Alexis Parente of InStyle Magazine shared their personal journey and stories.
Amanda Kloots brought The Dance Class to Miami, teaching her smoothest moves at the Design District’s Paradise Plaza. A panel discussion focused on nutrition and wellness segued, with panelists, Tiffany Noelani and Cristina Powter founders of Chill by Will, Amanda Kloots, Gilles Souteyrand, Lia Ames of Lunchology, Hugette Montesinos of DISfunkshion Magazine in conversation with Magda Lopez. A fitness class presented by Cellucor with Ron Boss Everline followed with Cellucor’s newest product: pre-workout energy drink.
Miami said Aloha! with Kopari beauty as the coconut infused line hosted an influencer dinner complete with DJ May Kwok and hula dancers at the Soho Beach House. Following dinner, since Miami knows how to sizzle, Samantha Ronson and Ocean Park Standoff performed by the Soho Beach House rooftop pool for The Retreat.
On Saturday morning, Gilles Souteyrand, presented his iconic workout class Body By Gilles to a packed house of influencers, VIP’s and Gilles-enthusiasts. The day followed with a powerful panel discussion on sustainability powered by MINI at the Institute of
Contemporary Art, Miami with panelists Danie Gomez-Ortigoza, Gabrielle Anwar and Taryn Toomey in conversation with Madeliene Marr of the Miami Herald. Inscape then presented a guided meditation experience in the Miami Design District’s newly opened Paradise Plaza, The Retreat’s home for the weekend.
Just before sunset, presentations by activewear brand Chill by Will and Heroine Sport, showed their latest collections on a rooftop terrace to a full-house. Heroine Sport also showed looks from its newly announced collection in collaboration with Tracy

The Retreat powered by MINI and Miami Design District rounded up programming on Sunday with The Class by Taryn Toomey, a cathartic fitness experience and Barre-less Barre with Athleta. A farewell brunch at the Design District’s OTL was served to celebrate the weekend of health, wellness and fitness focused activities.
