Victoria’s Secret Angels Show Support for World Cup, Model Tweets

Football fever is heating up in Brazil and the models are showing their support; Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Isabeli Fontana all plan on being in their home country for the World Cup 2014!

From flag-painted nails and football-themed Vogue covers to hanging out with Brazilian-born mini soccer players and more, this month, the models are wearing their country’s colors with pride.

“I hope to be in the stadium, hopefully on the ground to feel all the energy from the people, hopefully!” Adriana Lima says speaking to Vogue. Click through the photos below to see all the models in green and yellow!

 

5 Reasons We’re Excited For Men’s Fashion Week!

It’s time to warm up for the Spring 2015 collections, as Men’s Fashion Week kicks off in London before heading to Milan and then Paris. This season, we have a feeling it’s going to take the fashion world by storm!

FashionTV will be bringing you full coverage from all the hottest shows at London Collections: Men, Milan and Paris. So what can we expect from the weeks ahead?

1. Here Come the Boys!

Male models are busy making their stamp on the fashion world and ones to look out for this season include the face of Tom Ford sunglasses Conrad Bromfield, devilishly handsome Aussie Tom Bull, unquestionably sexy Jon Kortajarena and British model-DJ Jack Guinness!


2. Front Row Action

London will certainly see some well-dressed men such as Harry Styles and Tinie Tempah on the front-row, as well as the ever-gorgeous model and style extraordinaire, David Gandy and David Beckham representing at Belstaff. While in Paris we can expect to look out for Kanye West at the Givenchy or Maison Martin Margiela shows.

3. Upping the Style Stakes

It’s a feast for the eyes: dapperlads donning suits and ties in London, gladiator sandals and shorts in Milan, man bags and capes in Paris – you name it, there’s nothing tame about men’s fashion these days!

4. Design WARS!

Saint Laurent, Raf Simons, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Cavalli, Dsquared2, Vivienne Westwood and Burberry Prorsum are just some of the brands that are bound to present some fierce collections, but who will win the title for most memorable collection?!

5. The Beard! Still trending or fashion Faux-Pas?

We recently read that hipster “wannabes” are paying thousands of dollars for facial implants to create the perfect beard. And 2013 was undoubtedly the year of the beard. But word has it that the beard is so last-year! Will we be seeing cleanly shaven models on the catwalks or rugged men? Stay tuned to find out!

Sandwiched between winter and spring are the cruise collections, offering holiday-goers a vacation wardrobe that differs from the normal seasonal trends — and the Cannes red carpet attendees have already snapped up some pieces within just a few days of the shows!

Dior Cruise 2015

This year, Dior headed to Brooklyn to showcase its Cruise 2015 collection. In keeping with the painterly vibe of Dior’s Fall 2014-15 show, designer Raf Simons created a modernist chic collection of 66 looks that were rich in fluid shapes and hand-painted silk scarves. Jennifer Lawrence has already been seen wearing one of the looks at Cannes. See if you can find it in the show below:

Louis Vuitton Monaco Resort 2015

As the world gears up for the Monaco Grand Prix, so has Louis Vuitton! Designer Nicolas Ghesquiere, presented his second collection for the French fashion house at Monaco’s Royal Palace, which was inspired by the pretty and the playful: mismatching colors, oversized embellishments and contrasting soft fabrics with severe accessories.

Chanel Cruise 2015

The Dubai desert was the setting for Chanel’s Cruise 2015 collection, inspired by the East. The lookbook was replete with symbolic references. Karl Lagerfeld described the collection as his “idea of a romantic, modern Orient, a new One Thousand and One Nights.”

Designer Spotlight: Cruise 2015 Chanel Collection Hits Dubai

Trust Karl Lagerfeld to do things by extremes, taking the Chanel Pre-Fall 2015 collection to Dubai, where no – and we mean no – expense was spared. Think Arabian desert, aka Chanel Island, on which guests were delivered to by boat, hookah tents were erected, an Arabic feast was served on traditional seating and the collection featured light-up shoes, garments embellished with the Dubai skyline in sequins, and stunning moon crescent hair accessories: It was a true desert fashion spectacle!
