All The Hottest Trends From Men’s Fashion Week, Weekend Special

We’ve seen prints, we’ve seen pools and plenty of things to think about for the Spring/Summer 2015 season. And though the men’s collections have come to an end, this weekend FashionTV brings you all the hottest shows from London, Milan and Paris!

It’s hard to believe, but June has really flown by that fast! At the beginning of the month we welcomed the start of the menswear fashion shows where London Collections: Men kicked off with Burberry Prorsum, Alexander McQueen and DKNY Men Spring/Summer 2015 setting the standards for the season.

Then, swiftly over to Milan we flew where no expense was spared; we’re talking both in terms of the clothes and venues. At Milan, the week was abundant in entertainment and thematic styles, with everything from PHILIPP PLEIN’s pool-side show to Versace’s picnic boys collection, Dsquared2 ‘s neon-rave color-explosion collection and Dolce & Gabanna’s red hot Sicilian lookbook.

And last but by no means least, Paris, where arguably the creme-de-la-creme of fashion presented their menswear shows. At Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci selected Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Irina Shayk and Isabeli Fontana to help present the military-influenced show while Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Raf Simons and Saint Laurent brought the collections home.

This weekend FashionTV takes you to the front row, discovers all the street trends and go backstage at all the biggest and best shows of the Spring/Summer 2015 season.

Don’t forget! Paris Haute Couture Fall 2014-15 shows start on Friday and we’ll be bringing you all the shows LIVE. So stay tuned and see it first with FashionTV.

Beard & Brawn Thomas Bull, Model of the Week

Fashion Week Spring 2015 collections for men kicks off tomorrow in London, before heading to Milan and then Paris. To celebrate, FashionTV dedicates ‘Model of the Week’ to Aussie breakout male model, Thomas Bull. And sorry, he’s taken!

He’s from Perth in Western Australia and has travelled across the pond to New York to launch his model career. Thomas Bull is 24-years-old and has now been modelling internationally for around two years, which make the fact that he got to kiss actress Freida Pinto in the new Free People short film pretty maj-or (see below)!

Known for his trademark beard and “blue-steel” stare, Bull is proving to be on a serious model roll. But the beard, is all part of the success, he revealed in an interview with WHS Magazine.

“When I first started modeling I began videoing myself…I thought that I wanted to diversify myself and pick a niche market or find something different that not everybody had, so I was very tactful to grow the beard,” he explains. Despite his agency trying to encourage him to shave it, Bull stuck to his guns and it paid off!

He has secured campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Perry Ellis and Banana Republic among others and is a favorite on the menswear catwalks, walking for the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Philipp Plein and Billy Reid among others.

Naturally though, we didn’t expect that Bull would stop with modelling; his chiseled features and irresistible simply made for the movies. With dreams of breaking into acting, Bull has starred in his first short film, ‘Rangeen,’ for bohemian fashion brand Free People. Watch below and see what you think of his acting skills… we’re not going to lie, we’re a little bit in love.
