All the Models, Celebrities & Glamor at Cannes Film Festival, Weekend Special

The glamathon that is Cannes Film Festival, for some is just a film festival. For others, its a chance to delve into the glamorous lives of moviemakers, actors and actresses and watch them twirl and swirl on the red carpet.

Who needs a VIP pass when you’ve got FashionTV? All weekend long we’ll be taking you to the most glamorous red carpet events at all of the hottest premieres.

From the Grace of Monaco opening to Blake Lively’s grand arrival at Captives, Salma Hayek, Natasha Poly and Eva Longoria at the Saint Laurent screening, the stunning Aishwarya Rai and more, tune in to FashionTV 23-25 May for your red carpet fix.

Top 3 Cruise 2015 Collections: All Aboard The Eastern Express!

Sandwiched between winter and spring are the cruise collections, offering holiday-goers a vacation wardrobe that differs from the normal seasonal trends — and the Cannes red carpet attendees have already snapped up some pieces within just a few days of the shows!

Dior Cruise 2015

This year, Dior headed to Brooklyn to showcase its Cruise 2015 collection. In keeping with the painterly vibe of Dior’s Fall 2014-15 show, designer Raf Simons created a modernist chic collection of 66 looks that were rich in fluid shapes and hand-painted silk scarves. Jennifer Lawrence has already been seen wearing one of the looks at Cannes. See if you can find it in the show below:

Louis Vuitton Monaco Resort 2015

As the world gears up for the Monaco Grand Prix, so has Louis Vuitton! Designer Nicolas Ghesquiere, presented his second collection for the French fashion house at Monaco’s Royal Palace, which was inspired by the pretty and the playful: mismatching colors, oversized embellishments and contrasting soft fabrics with severe accessories.

Chanel Cruise 2015

The Dubai desert was the setting for Chanel’s Cruise 2015 collection, inspired by the East. The lookbook was replete with symbolic references. Karl Lagerfeld described the collection as his “idea of a romantic, modern Orient, a new One Thousand and One Nights.”

Designer Spotlight: Cruise 2015 Chanel Collection Hits Dubai

Trust Karl Lagerfeld to do things by extremes, taking the Chanel Pre-Fall 2015 collection to Dubai, where no – and we mean no – expense was spared. Think Arabian desert, aka Chanel Island, on which guests were delivered to by boat, hookah tents were erected, an Arabic feast was served on traditional seating and the collection featured light-up shoes, garments embellished with the Dubai skyline in sequins, and stunning moon crescent hair accessories: It was a true desert fashion spectacle! As the ultra-glamorous Met Gala 2014 drew to an end on Monday night, we were busy following all the models’ beauty preparations and after-party antics. Though for some, like Kendall Jenner, it was a Met Gala debut, for others it was a reason to mingle with the stars at yet another glamorous affair.

With everyone from Victoria’s Secret models Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, and Adriana Lima dressed in Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, and Givenchy; to Kate Upton arriving in a curve-enhancing Dolce & Gabbana dress; and Kendall Jenner taking to the red carpet in a pink Topshop gown; Cara Delevingne opted for an unconventional but ultra-sexy look, wearing a Stella McCartney trouser suit. But no matter what the models wore, they exuded beauty, glamor, and confidence both on- and off- the red carpet.

JLaw wears Dior at CannesUnless you hadn’t heard, FashionTV will be LIVE at Cannes Film Festival. But if reporting from the red carpet, attending the most extravagant parties, and hosting our very own lineup of events isn’t enough excitement for the week; this year FashionTV is launching it’s very own Fashion Film Awards and YOU are invited to vote!

On Wednesday, May 21, we will be teaming up with the Berlin Fashion Film Festival (BfFF) to host a night that celebrates the best of fashion and the best of film, at the Majestic Barriere Hotel in Cannes, which will run in parallel with the 67th annual Festival de Cannes.

Nominated films include classics such as Baz Luhrmann’s famous Chanel No.5 commercial starring Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz’ directorial debut for Agent Provocateur, Lady Dior The Film starring Marion Cotillard and much more.

Top 5 Spring 2015 Bridal Collections!

One of our favorite times of the year is right now, when the weather is getting warmer and the spring bridal collections hit the runways!

1. Carolina Herrera Bridal

A Carolina Herrera wedding gown is known for its perfect classic styling, and this collection is that and then some. This season’s Spring 2015 wedding dress line was filled with tons of layered tulle, embellished lace, and and gorgeous silk. Little surprises such as peplum panel skirts and laser-cut lace paired perfectly with Carolina’s signature ultra-feminine design.

2. Reem Acra Bridal

Reem Acra’s latest wedding dress collection “Mirror, Mirror” boasts a diversity of different fabrics from stretch satin to silk chiffon and layers of tulle. The stunning silhouettes included columns, traditional ball gowns, flattering fit-and-flares and a sweeping circular style in cascading chiffon. Known for her intricate embroideries, Acra also played with beautiful appliqués, re-embroidered lace and crystal and pearl embellishments.

3. Monique Lhuillier Bridal

The collection titled My Eternal Daydream was inspired by the works of painter John Singer Sargent, and featured an array of unexpected shades of blue, light green, and hydrangea. Gowns came in sophisticated silhouettes including A-line and mermaid for an all-out romantic feel.

4. Temperley London Bridal

Temperley London’s spring/summer 2015 “Iris” collection featured a series of classic Temperley bridal pieces, including a design that Alice Temperley, herself, chose to get married in 12 years ago. Temperley’s attention to detail and intricate work was evident in everything including embellished French lace dress with a dramatic full train.

5. Irina Shayk at Pronovias Barcelona First Love 2014 Bridal Collections

There’s just something so special about seeing the gowns on the runway, and who makes a more beautiful bride than Irina Shayk? Check out this show for the Pronovias 2014 show.
