Haute Couture Weekend Special on FashionTV

This week we witnessed Kendall Jenner make her Haute Couture debut at Chanel, Jennifer Lopez sit front row at Versace, Valentino’s goddess collection, Dior’s couture with a spacesuit twist and the most beautiful bridal gowns on the planet… ahem, ELIE SAAB.

So tune in all weekend and enjoy a world of fashion magic.

Most famously, you may remember Alexa Chung who starred as scripted character “Jake” in ‘Shoot Me! London.’  Today, Chung has made it to the top as a high-profile television presenter and model as well as contributing editor at British Vogue. Now you can see her before she was famous, and still as beautiful as ever!

In FashionTV’s 18-part London series — which has been edited together into one full show — enjoy the stories of the girls living together in their London apartment; but life as an aspiring model isn’t as glamorous as it may seem. From ants in the kitchen to bitchy flatmates, cold showers and fierce scrutiny by model agencies, Chung quickly learns that modelling isn’t going to be an easy ride.

Question is, will she or won’t she get that famous magazine cover to kick-start her career or will she face more obstacles in her struggle to success? WATCH to find out.

Dior Goes Astro-Haute At Paris Couture!

As the stars flocked to the front row, Raf Simons presented his Princess-Astronaut collection at the Dior Haute Couture show.

Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron and Emma Watson were just some of the A-listers that turned up in Paris to watch the Dior Couture Fall/Winter 2014-15 spectacle.

And spectacle, it most certainly was. The show featured eight distinct looks that included 18th century ballgowns (think Cinderella) with contrastingly mannish frock coats. But that’s not all, now try to imagine Simons’ classic-modern couture mixed with Dior-chic astronaut suits! Et Voila, there you have the full Dior Haute Couture experience.

Atelier Versace Revives The Fifties With Hot Couture!

And, it’s on! The Paris Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2014-15 collection shows are in full swing, last night kicking off with Atelier Versace.

Donatella Versace’s fourth collection for the Italian fashion house’s Haute Couture line gave a nod to the era of Rock ‘N’ Roll, the Fifties. Silhouettes comprised deconstructed shapes, corseted bodices, rounded shoulders and cutting and slicing away fabric with the ‘Donatella precision’ that helps create her infamous ultra-sex appeal effect.

And who better to grace the front row than celebrity diva, Jennifer Lopez, who famously wore that green Versace gown at the Grammy awards more than a decade ago! Last night, JLO arrived looking every bit the Versace goddess dressed in a chic white floor-length gown, hip-high split and half trouser look.

All The Hottest Trends From Men’s Fashion Week, Weekend Special

We’ve seen prints, we’ve seen pools and plenty of things to think about for the Spring/Summer 2015 season. And though the men’s collections have come to an end, this weekend FashionTV brings you all the hottest shows from London, Milan and Paris!

It’s hard to believe, but June has really flown by that fast! At the beginning of the month we welcomed the start of the menswear fashion shows where London Collections: Men kicked off with Burberry Prorsum, Alexander McQueen and DKNY Men Spring/Summer 2015 setting the standards for the season.

Then, swiftly over to Milan we flew where no expense was spared; we’re talking both in terms of the clothes and venues. At Milan, the week was abundant in entertainment and thematic styles, with everything from PHILIPP PLEIN’s pool-side show to Versace’s picnic boys collection, Dsquared2 ‘s neon-rave color-explosion collection and Dolce & Gabanna’s red hot Sicilian lookbook.

And last but by no means least, Paris, where arguably the creme-de-la-creme of fashion presented their menswear shows. At Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci selected Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Irina Shayk and Isabeli Fontana to help present the military-influenced show while Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Raf Simons and Saint Laurent brought the collections home.

This weekend FashionTV takes you to the front row, discovers all the street trends and go backstage at all the biggest and best shows of the Spring/Summer 2015 season.

Before the impending Spring/Summer 2015 fashion week shows kick off in September, the models have been making the most of their off-season and taking some time to get close to nature, their spirituality, or just have a good ol’ vacation.

From horses and dogs to spiritual leaders and more, it seems the models all have someone to snuggle up to this week on Model Tweets! Naturally, Gisele has been finding her inner-om with a visit to meet Hindu spiritual leader Amma, Karlie Kloss concludes her adventure in Peru with some equestrian fun, while Heidy de la Rosa has been enjoying some vacation time in Mozambique.
