FashionTV Films & Wild Elephant Motion Pictures Launch ‘Tamanchey’

To start August with a bang! FashionTV Films and Wild Elephant Motion Pictures celebrate the theatrical launch of new action film collaboration ‘Tamanchey.’

Starring Bollywood actress Richa Chadda (Babu) and Nikhil Dwivedi (Munna), ‘Tamanchey,’ is an intense love story that revolves around two convicts, who escaped from police custody and the adventures that follow while they are on the run from the law.

The film, shot in various parts of North India and Gujarat, takes you on the journey of a twisted love story filled with action, comedy and romance.

“I had a great time playing the feisty Babu, who is as quick with a sharp remark as she is with a gun. I hope people love the trailer and the film,” Chadda says.

Following suit of the controversial plot, the stars turned up to the launch party in handcuffs and accompanied by Policemen, as well as Producer, Suryaveer Singh Bhullar, and Tom Light, Vice President of Business Development of FashionTV.

‘Tamanchey’ will hit screens September 19, and even if you don’t understand Hindi, the trailer is enough to understand that this is going to be the box office hit of Fall. See it First on FashionTV.

Which Haute Couture Bride Are You?

Tradition has it that the bride should be dressed in white, demure and pure: but not in the case of Haute Couture! Challenging society’s ideology of the classic bride, this Fall, designers opted for controversy, or should we say reality, over tradition. So, tell us… which Haute Couture bride are you?

1. Drag Queen Bride | Jean Paul Gaultier

He is the enfant terrible of the fashion world and not intent on losing his reputation any time soon. This season, Jean Paul Gaultier, presented his most challenging bride to date: the drag queen bride.  Eurovision winner, Conchita Wurst, closed the haute couture show at Paris Fashion Week, resplendent in a black and red vampire-themed gown.

2. Classic Princess Bride | ELIE SAAB

King of red carpet attire, Elie Saab, left no room for casual couture this season. He presented a magical display of cocktail gowns, sparkle, sheer and the finest craftsmanship. The collection takes inspiration from Paris, the City of Light, through its ethereal interiors. The jewel-toned colors of the collection’s palette recall the faceted, prismic reflections of crystal chandeliers. And the bridal gown was classic princess couture.

3. Pregnant Bride | Chanel

This Fall, Karl Lagerfeld presented a chic and regal Haute Couture collection at the Grand Palais, which took inspiration from visionary architect Le Corbusier’s Parisian apartment. The bride entered the Grand Palais as if it was a church; model Ashleigh Good appeared like a virgin dressed in a white Empress-style dress. When suddenly, to onlookers surprise a dramatic bump reveals that the bride is seven-months pregnant! Talk about Taboo.

4. Sparkletastic Bride | Zuhair Murad

If you’ve always dreamed of shining your way down the aisle, then this dress is for you! Lebanese designer, Zuhair Murad, presented a collection that gave a nod to the architectural renaissance reflective in Lebanon’s capital city, Beirut.

Most famously, you may remember Alexa Chung who starred as scripted character “Jake” in ‘Shoot Me! London.’  Today, Chung has made it to the top as a high-profile television presenter and model as well as contributing editor at British Vogue. Now you can see her before she was famous, and still as beautiful as ever!

In FashionTV’s 18-part London series — which has been edited together into one full show — enjoy the stories of the girls living together in their London apartment; but life as an aspiring model isn’t as glamorous as it may seem. From ants in the kitchen to bitchy flatmates, cold showers and fierce scrutiny by model agencies, Chung quickly learns that modelling isn’t going to be an easy ride.

Dior Goes Astro-Haute At Paris Couture!

As the stars flocked to the front row, Raf Simons presented his Princess-Astronaut collection at the Dior Haute Couture show.

Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron and Emma Watson were just some of the A-listers that turned up in Paris to watch the Dior Couture Fall/Winter 2014-15 spectacle.

And spectacle, it most certainly was. The show featured eight distinct looks that included 18th century ballgowns (think Cinderella) with contrastingly mannish frock coats. But that’s not all, now try to imagine Simons’ classic-modern couture mixed with Dior-chic astronaut suits! Et Voila, there you have the full Dior Haute Couture experience.

Brits VS Brazilians – Who Celebrates Better?, Celebrity Instagram

England may have given up its chance in the World Cup 2014, but this week on celebrity Instagram, FashionTV challenges the Brazilans and the Brits on their Instagramming time.

Mud for it!

Despite the torrential downpours, this weekend, England’s legendary festival Glastonbury has seen the stars turn out in force and put on a brave smile for the 3-day music event. Everyone from Rita Ora and Kellis to model Alexa Chung and even Dame Vivienne Westwood made an appearance!

Meanwhile, David Beckham got the crowd in a frenzy when he arrives at the Wimbledon tennis tournament to show support for the first weekend. Elsewhere on Instagram, Naomi Campbell has been busy sharing her holiday snaps with fashion royalty Kate Moss and photography duo Mert Alas and Marc Piggot for some #familytime.

So, there’s been plenty to distract the Brits from their absence from the World Cup. Naturally, the Brazilians, aka Gisele and Alessandra Ambrosio, have been spending their #familytime in front of the screen, cheering on Brazil as the team makes it through to the Quarter-Finals!
