Top 5 Paris Fashion Week Shows

As we welcome the penultimate day of Paris Fashion Week and indeed the Spring/Summer 2015 collections, FashionTV takes a look at some of the most talked about shows of the week par excellence!

Vivienne Westwood Gold Label

Contemporary costume drama would sum up Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 2015 showcase as fairytale characters stormed the catwalk, with a political agenda. Little Bo Peep, Snow White and Adam and Eve (played by Vivienne and husband) were among the many characters to grace the Parisian stage.

Manish Arora

Somewhere in the mountains of cotton candy, Indian designer Manish Arora presented his Spring/Summer 2015 show abundant in iridescent pastel prints, see-through panels as well as visors and fanny packs. Hot pink bindis, elaborate beading, giant eyes and Hindu deities’ faces also appeared in the new season’s look book.

Jean Paul Gaultier

The enfant terrible of the fashion pack, Jean Paul Gaultier put on the show of a lifetime, with an half hour fashion spectacle that kicked-off as a beauty pageant. Looks were inspired by everything from WAGS to the Tour De France. It was after all his last ever ready-to-wear collection… non?!

Saint Laurent Paris

Un, deux, trois… ooh lala! Hedi Slimane certainly knows how to draw a crowd at Saint Laurent, where Lenny Kravitz, Pete Doherty and Daft Punk were among the music a-listers sitting front row. This season, Slimane presented another edgy lookbook for the new season.

Dior

Making fashion history yet again, Raf Simons for Dior opened in a classic monochrome palette of modern, re-visited silhouettes. “I started to think, ‘what is modern?’” said Simons of his collection. His answer: looking to the past and presenting it to the future.

Meanwhile, British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been enjoying the Parisian views alongside Italian fashion blogger Eleonora Carisi. And hottest parties on the circuit include Balmain’s after show party. But, hot of the press, Miranda Kerr has arrived in town for the launch of her new French Vogue cover and we expect her to be making a FROW or two on her stylish visit. From Russia with love! Welcome to the international program #OpenRussianFashion, new experience in the history of the Russian fashion targeted at consolidation of all the market participants’ efforts for a valuable collective international presentation of their products and Russia as well. The aim of the project is to focus attention of the international fashion industry on the young Russian talents and to secure a stronger position for Russian designers internationally.

During Milano Moda Donna, from 20 to 22 September, 13 most promising brands of apparel and accessories developed and produced in Russia will attend the SUPER tradeshow, an ideal platform for presenting collections characterized by research and innovation.
At the same time the sales session established by the most popular Russian brands (Alena Akhmadullina, Julia Dalakian, Laroom, Vassa and Yulia Prokhorova)will start at Sari Spazio Showroom. Their collections will be presented to press and buyers during an Open Day on September 22 and then will be held for a month until October 16. Follow #OpenRussianFashion!

Victoria’s Secret Models At Fashion Week

From New York to London, the Victoria’s Secret models have been proving their fashion week worth on the runways.

They’re beautiful, they’re glamorous and many of them started their modelling careers on the fashion week catwalks, so it only make sense that fashion week spring/summer collections would see the Victoria’s Secret models take to the hottest stages and front row positions.

This season, we have seen Jessica Hart and Adriana Lima looking almost unrecognisable at the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2015 closing show; while Karlie Kloss rocked every show from Diane von Furstenburg to Jason Wu and Oscar de la Renta among many more; Lily Aldridge made her presence on the front row at Tory Burch and Ralph Lauren; and Alessandra Ambrosio looked tooty fruity on the Desigual stage in Milan.

Black Sea Model Awards 2014

Viewers from around the world were witnesses of the spectacular show of Ftv Black Sea Model Awards in Mamaia live on Fashiontv international

The Fashiontv event in Mamaia made this resort to become on Friday night the venue for the most fashionable event of the summer: the fourth edition of Fashiontv Black Sea Model Awards.

On Fashiontv`s biggest stage situated in Casino Square- Mamaia, 21 young beautiful models competed for the first place in the most important international modeling competition in Eastern Europe. The awards presented the contestants with the chance of participating at Fashiontv`s most exclusive and conveted events all over the world.

Special guest and host of the event for the thousands of fans present in Mamaia Casino Square, but also for the millions of viewers around the world who watched the show live on FashionTV, was Ania J, the official Fashiontv MC.

The event featured the guest appearance of the Mayor of Constanta, Radu Mazare who  conveyed thanks on stage to the Fashiontv Founder and President – Michel Adam – for the support provided in promoting the Romanian tourism.

The event ended with the biggest Fashiontv party of the year, with more than 20,000 people in attendance in Mamaia Casino Square.

FashionTV Films & Wild Elephant Motion Pictures Launch ‘Tamanchey’

To start August with a bang! FashionTV Films and Wild Elephant Motion Pictures celebrate the theatrical launch of new action film collaboration ‘Tamanchey.’

Starring Bollywood actress Richa Chadda (Babu) and Nikhil Dwivedi (Munna), ‘Tamanchey,’ is an intense love story that revolves around two convicts, who escaped from police custody and the adventures that follow while they are on the run from the law.

The film, shot in various parts of North India and Gujarat, takes you on the journey of a twisted love story filled with action, comedy and romance.

“I had a great time playing the feisty Babu, who is as quick with a sharp remark as she is with a gun. I hope people love the trailer and the film,” Chadda says.

Following suit of the controversial plot, the stars turned up to the launch party in handcuffs and accompanied by Policemen, as well as Producer, Suryaveer Singh Bhullar, and Tom Light, Vice President of Business Development of FashionTV.

‘Tamanchey’ will hit screens September 19, and even if you don’t understand Hindi, the trailer is enough to understand that this is going to be the box office hit of Fall. See it First on FashionTV.
